Void Descent (Web Demo)
Play The Official Web Demo of Void Descent
Void Descent is a fast-paced bullet heaven where aggression is mandatory. Weave through swarms and maximize DPS to raise your Combat Rank or release the controls to slow time and plan your next move. Explore over 80 billion loadout combinations with weapons, elemental mods, and unlockable augments!
Jump in the pilot seat of the Pathfinder starter ship and test out every weapon and elemental system in the game across a full 50-level run including final boss encounter.
No story, no dialogue - Void Descent is only here to offer pure bullet heaven action.
Take control of your ship and destroy everything that comes at you. Weapons fire automatically so you can focus entirely on movement, positioning, and survival using mouse, keyboard, or controller.
Explore over 80 billion loadout combinations.
Customize your weapon loadout with 5 distinct elemental types. Boost each element's effectiveness with dedicated Mastery Upgrades, then amplify your power even further with Elemental Synergies combining two elements to unleash devastating fusion effects and unique abilities.
Playing it safe isn't an option here. Void Descent forces you on the offensive with a real-time Combat Rank system.
Stay aggressive, weave through swarms, and thread the needle through enemy fire to push your rank to the limit. Fall back or take hits, and your rank tanks fast. The higher your Combat Rank, the more massive your score multiplier grows.
Slow down time whenever you want with Time Dilation because why restrict something this fun with a cooldown?
Releasing your controls instantly drops time to 10% speed. Evaluate the swarm, line up your next move, soak in the weapon effects, or answer the colleague who just called your name on a work call. When you're ready, start steering again to smoothly ramp back to full speed and plunge straight into the chaos.
Void Descent offers 2 completely different graphics modes.
Retro 2D offers that classic vector arcade feel with maximum visual clarity while saving battery when playing on handhelds. Modern 3D showcases high-fidelity space combat, detailed ship models, and rich lighting when you have graphical horsepower to spare.

Very cool game, I like it!
Thank you!!
hell yeah very ham review
Hello!
Managed to "finish" the game :D, a while back after the update that re-enabled the auguments shop.
Didn't get to play as much recently so some of those might have been already patched/changed.
Here are some more things I have found:
you can buy the last ship without having 50 runs (I was able to buy it at 5)(maybe 5 is too little but 50 is also too high in my opinion, like i've already had a god run on the endless mode and i'm still ai x/40 for the glass cannon:( )
Have seen that you posted some updates, I will soon check them out:)
Absolutely amazing feedback thank you so much! Some of these things I am in the process of addressing but others are still in the To Do list.
If you're interested I would love to have you in the new discord I just created. Having players like you is invaluable, you can join here - https://discord.gg/VAwhGE8pv
Thanks again!
Found a bug. Clicking more details for a ship makes it so that when trying to exit that window almost to completely impossible depending on the ship since the exit button is usually stuck behind the title of the game. I'm on desktop.
Thank you again for reporting this, it was a side effect of some work im doing on the visual overhaul but this has been fixed now!
I've run into a bug where saving an augment like "+20% damage" turns into like "20% area" for the next level gained. I even saved a elemental combo augment and then the next level i had two of it to pick from. Enjoying the game and all, needs more music choices though for sure.
Thank you so much for the feedback I will look into that bug asap!
Keep an eye out for future updates. I will definitely add more over time.
Update: both bugs have been fixed, check out the devlog!
Thank you for the fix and updates. Going off the visual change to percentages, how do multistrike and critical work? They're different from the area/damage/speed/etc. So when you get like a 22% crit augment, that's basically of the base crit? And similar for multi?
So all % based upgrades are multiplicative, not additive.
For example:
If you had a crit chance of 10% and got a +20% upgrade you would now have 12% (multiplicative), not 30% (additive)
I hope that makes sense. You can always check your stats on the pause menu as well if you ever want to see how the numbers get affected after an upgrade.
Great game! I really like the feel of it. Perfect for when you go somewhere and have to wait or just wish to take a break from work. And the fact that everything slows down when you take the finger from the screen *chef's kiss* I saw the comment and know that it was not implemented for this but i do like to just take the finger on and off the screen when I'm in a ditch to more easily navigate the bullet & enemy hell.

There are some bugs that I wish to report tho, that I will just drop in here cause I was not able to put them in another place:
phone - android
both on phone and pc i was using firefox
1. when you import a save it seems the ships you bought are not carried along? tried to import to pc browser and the 2nd ship (which i have bought on the phone) was not bought (a workaround to not spend cores was to buy it, then re-import my save which allowed me to have my ships and my cores) (managed to also reproduce it on phone using a private window so no cookies are )
2. (on phone)had to switch between normal and desktop mode and back for the augment lab button to appear (yes i have defeated the final boss of normal mode)
3. entering the augment lab does not load the augments
and this is the error code from the console:
As such I'm unable to progress to next difficulty:(
Hope those help <3 and good luck with the game!
Glad to hear you're enjoying the game, and thank you for the bug reports! I just recently did a big refector so I'm still on the hunt for issues, but I'll get these fixed up asap. Keep an eye on the page for updates!
What a perfect browser-based survivorslike! Very smart how it slows down when you take your hand off the mouse. Perfect for idle play on a mindless phone call but easy to interrupt when you need to focus. I really like the roguelike upgrade options -- well thought out and well implemented. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much, this really means a lot!
The slow-down mechanic was completely intentional for exactly that reason so I'm really glad it came across as a feature and not a bug.
I was also super happy to hear the augment system felt well thought out, that was probably the most work to balance. Hope you keep enjoying it!
